Jakarta (Pinmas) – Let’s stop violence and destruction. Obey the existing rules regarding the spread of ideology that contradicts the main teachings of a religion. This assertion was conveyed by the Director General of Islamic Community Guidance of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Abdul Djamil when asked about horizontal conflicts that still often occur between Ahmadiyah residents and other community members who are against it, Tuesday (7/5). Actually, that’s where the problem lies (stop the violence and obey the rules). In other words, the Joint Decree is fair, Abdul Djamil emphasized.
In this regard, Abdul Djamil appealed to all citizens, especially Muslims and Ahmadiyah, to exercise restraint. The solution, Abdul Djamil added, is to stop violence and destruction and stop the spread of ideologies that contradict the main teachings of religion. The Joint Decree must be understood in its entirety, Abdul Djamil requested. According to Abdul Djamil, the existence of the Joint Decree that regulates Ahmadiyah was born from a long process and already reflects protection from violence. Because one point prohibits violence, Abdul Djamil emphasized.
But it must be understood that there is a prohibition on the spread of ideology that is contrary to the main teachings of religion. It must also be noted that NU, Muhammadiyah, and MUI have firmly stated their stance on the deviation of Ahmadiyah,” added Abdul Djamil. When asked whether a solution was needed for Ahmadiyah to become a new religion considering that as citizens of the nation they have the right to live in the country, Abdul Djamil stated that the offer for Ahmadiyah to create a new religion was not accepted by Ahmadiyah itself.
“Actually, the Ministry of Religious Affairs did not offer them to create a new religion, but in the discussion of the settlement before the issuance of the Joint Decree, it was offered to them,” he concluded. As is known, the main teaching of Islam is the prophethood of the Prophet Muhammad SAW as the last prophet, while Ahmadiyah still has another prophet, namely Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. The holy book of Muslims is the Quran, while Ahmadiyah has another holy book. As is known in Pakistan, Ahmadiyah is a separate religion. (MI/Syarief Oebaidillah)

It is of course not correct that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has another book to rival the Quran.
