TRIBUNCIREBON.COM, KUNINGAN – The emergence of banners in anticipation of the Ahmadiyah group’s major activities in Kuningan has received attention from the Kuningan Regency Government.
This is to maintain security and conduciveness.
The Kuningan Regency Government has officially banned the Jalsah Salanah activities held by the Indonesian Ahmadiyah Congregation.
This is what the Acting Regent of Kuningan, Agus Toyib, said to the media crew, after holding a meeting with the Forkopimda, religious leaders, and community leaders in the Linggajati Meeting Room of the Kuningan Regent’s Office, Wednesday (4/12/2024).
“After conducting a coordination meeting and hearing with all Forkopimda, also attended by representatives from religious organizations and community leaders, and for reasons of security and conduciveness of the region, we officially do not permit and prohibit the Jalsah Salanah activity held by the Indonesian Ahmadiyah Congregation in Manislor Village, Jalaksana District,” said Agus.
Whether it is an internal activity or from other areas outside Kuningan.
For the activities of the Indonesian Ahmadiyah Congregation, the local government is committed to maintaining order and environmental comfort.

“Whatever the activities of the Indonesian Ahmadiyah Congregation, according to the agreement in the coordination meeting, the government prohibits these activities.”
“The reason is that many parties reject the Jalsah Salanah activity , fearing that it will give rise to disputes that occurred in Manislor Village in 2008 and 2010,” he said.
The same thing was conveyed by the Kuningan Police Chief, AKBP Willy Andrian.
He requested that the Jalsah Salanah activity not be held.
“We are trying to maintain the security, comfort and conduciveness of the Kuningan Regency area,” he said.
By rejecting this activity, it is hoped that disputes will never occur again in Manislor.
“Later we will comb and review the demolition process of a number of venues that will be used for the Jalsah Salanah,” said Willy Andrian.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Kuningan DPRD, Nuzul Rachdy, also expressed his rejection of this activity after hearing opinions from religious and community leaders.
“We consider that this rejection is not a rejection of belief, but a rejection of a form of activity that is feared could cause conflict,” he said.
It was previously known that the Jalsah Salanah activity was planned to be held this week by bringing together members of the Ahmadiyah Congregation from various corners of Indonesia.
Jalsah Salanah itself is a routine meeting held by members of the Indonesian Ahmadiyah Congregation.
