I am very fond of Javed Ahmed Ghamidi, so I keep listening to him.
I am very glad that Ghamidi has more recently opened up to the possibility of evolution. But, to me it seems partial acceptance.
Ghamidi calls the Prophet Adam both the first human and the first prophet. I agree that he is the first prophet but calling him the first human is not correct. So, I want to respectfully point out that there were humans living along side him for whom he was a prophet.
Humans were developing conscience and language gradually over time and it cannot be said that some one was the first human. It was a gradual process of change like in any other species and we have 8-9 million of them on our planet.
We cannot have our cake and eat it too!
I believe the following book may be a more comprehensive and consistent correlation of the Quran and facts of evolution:
