Ghamidi: What was happening before Adam

Question:

I will present the first question. We have heard from childhood, about Hazrat Adam, may peace be on him that he was the first human, Allah created him and then put a soul in him. We are also told of dialogue between angels and Satan with Adam. Then when we read the holy Quran, we come to know of different things that Adam was created from the belly of the earth. Who is Hazrat Adam and what was happening before him? How was he created and why was he sent to this world? What are we to learn from the narrative of Adam?
