The Ahmadiyya Congregation is Constitutionally Recognized

On the contrary, JAI has been recognized for its existence constitutionally since 1953 until now as reflected in the decision of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Indonesia No. JA.5/23/13 of 1953 as a legal entity and was updated again in 2020.

The Indonesian Ahmadiyya Congregation is also recognized as a social-religious organization based on Pancasila by the Ministry of Home Affairs under letter No. 363.A/DPM/505/93 and has been registered with the Director General of National Unity at the Ministry of Home Affairs in letter No. 75/DI/VI/2003 dated 05 June 2003 as an organization with the similarity of Islam.

According to Cepi, Ahmadiyah seeks to build good relations with all elements of society through various useful activities. This is to eliminate negative views and misunderstandings in society.

Cepi said that Ahmadiyah was built not for politics and against the government, but for improving people’s lives. Many social activities are carried out by JAI.

“Social activities that continue to be promoted include corneal donors, regional donors, environmental care actions through the clean the city community, and various humanitarian social activities through the Humanity First wing of the organization,” he concluded. (den)
