Coronavirus: Is drinking cow urine any help?

Source: BBC

India has had relatively few confirmed cases of coronavirus – but there’s been plenty of misleading advice on how to tackle it.

BBC News has been fact-checking some of the most prominent examples.

Cow urine and dung

There is a long tradition in India of promoting cow urine and dung as traditional remedies for various diseases.

And an MP from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Suman Haripriya, has suggested they could be used against the coronavirus

There have been previous studies into the potential anti-bacterial properties of cow urine.

And a Hindu nationalist group has held a cow-urine drinking event in the capital, Delhi, to promote its use for tackling the virus.

But Dr Shailendra Saxena, of the Indian Virological Society, told BBC News: “There is no medical evidence to show that cow urine has anti-viral characteristics.

“Moreover, using cow-dung could prove counter-productive as bovine faecal matter could contain a coronavirus which might replicate in humans.”

  1. Prophet Muhammad said in Hadith: CAMEL MILK AND URINE AS MEDICINE

But WHO say that there is no proof at all as medicine, oppositely it will harm your health

Which one Muslim Ahmadiyyah believe between Prophet or WHO ?

    Narrated Anas:
The climate of Medina did not suit some people, so the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered them to follow his shepherd, i.e. his camels, and drink their milk and urine (as a medicine). So they followed the shepherd that is the camels and drank their milk and urine till their bodies became healthy. Then they killed the shepherd and drove away the camels. When the news reached the Prophet (ﷺ) he sent some people in their pursuit. When they were brought, he cut their hands and feet and their eyes were branded with heated pieces of iron.

    • I personally have not met any Muslim who drinks Camel urin. Amazing how Somi ‘meets’ all strange guys.

    • Zia, you are a physician or doctor or you have a broad knowledge , let me ask you , which one you choose or believe in between WHO or Prophet in camel urine.

Who said Camel urine is harmful for health
Prophet said 1450 years ago, camel urine was a medicine .

      Thank you Zia

      • Amazing the importance that Somi places on Camel’s urine. You may drink it if you like.
