There are times in our lives when everything appears to go against us. No matter how hard we try, things just don’t seem to go our way. Sometimes it feels like we’re already down on the ground when life decides to kick us even more, and, at our lowest point, we might even start to question what’s the point of even trying to get up.

But the beauty of being alive, and what makes it so magical and worth living, is that life can take the most unexpected turns. Even when things are so dark that it seems like we’ll never be able to find the light at the end of the tunnel, we can still be positively surprised by what the universe throws at us. Like a wise man once said, “life is like a box of chocolates,” right?

This is the story of a single mother of four who was living with her family in her car when she was stopped by police and had her vehicle taken away from her. It seemed as though she had hit rock bottom and wouldn’t be able to recover. But in reality, it was all a blessing in disguise – she just didn’t know it yet.

A guilty mom
Being a mother is hard. Being a single mother is that much more difficult. Being a single mother to four children while juggling a number of different jobs and struggling with health issues is grueling – but Ebony Rhodes never complained.
