Jack Nicholson happens to be the most-nominated man in Academy Awards history, with 12 nods and three wins under his belt. But in 1998, Jack set a different awards record when he took home the best actor Golden Globe, SAG Award and Academy Award for his work in “As Good As It Gets.”
Sandra Bullock received heaps of praise for her portrayal of real-life tough lady Leigh Anne Tuohy in the critically acclaimed 2009 film “The Blind Side.” The following year, the star swept awards season, scoring a best actress Golden Globe, SAG Award and Oscar for her performance in the emotional drama.
Heath Ledger’s performance as the Joker in 2008’s “The Dark Knight” led to intense acclaim, but Heath was never able to experience it, as he tragically passed away from an accidental drug overdose in January 2008. The Australian star posthumously won the Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award and Academy Award for best supporting actor in 2009.
