Former PM Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law has caused uproar among Pakistan’s liberal sections by demanding a ban on military jobs for the minority Ahmadi community. DW examines why Pakistan has a problem with Ahmadis.
Captain (retired) Muhammad Safdar, who is ousted premier Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law and a member of the ruling Muslim League party, lashed out this week at the minority Ahmadi community in the country’s lower house of parliament.
He accused the religious group of conspiring against Pakistan and called for an action against them.
“These people [Ahmadis] are a threat to this country, its constitution and ideology,” Safdar said.
Safdar also asserted that he wanted to bring a resolution in the National Assembly (lower house of parliament) to put a ban on recruitment of Ahmadis in the armed forces.
“Because theirs is a false religion, in which there is no concept of jihad for Allah,” said Safdar.
His comments about the minority group have angered the country’s liberals, who say that Safdar is trying to divert attention from a corruption case against him by appeasing the powerful right-wing elements in the security establishment.
Some say the rise of the Milli Muslim League (MML) party, which allegedly has links to banned militant groups, is the reason behind Safdar’s diatribe against Ahmadis. The South Asian country’s election commission banned the… read more at source.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim jamaat needs nothing from Pakistan as ALLAH is sufficient for them.
Since 1947, I have never heard an Ahmadi accusing or killing another Muslim. So without any reason how can they just blame it on Ahmadi’s that they are a threat to Pakistan. They have served their country as other Muslims did. Giving them no jobs won’t affect Ahmadi’s because they are all dependent on Allah and they know Allah will help them.
They knows very well and they are witnessing themselves that God is with us…
I think they have nothing else to do in that country…everything is perfect there. Everybody is getting educated, poverty is gone, corruption is finished, everybody is following the LAW and load shedding matter is also solved…they are only left with the matter of proving Ahmadis NON MUSLIMS..so everybody is on it.
But Ahmadi Jamaat is prospering under God’s countless blessings day by day alhamdolillah.
In a country like Pakistan they believed that they have all the powers. They can do anything, say anything just to divert the attention of poor “AWAM”. I hope and pray that they start understanding their so called Rulers mentality. God is always with Ahmadi’s and no one can stop HIM.
Ahmadi Muslims always face hatred and persecution in their own country but they believe that “Love of country is part of Faith”so they always pray for the security of their country and they are always loyal to their country no matter what the circumstances are.

2. Indeed, those who divide their religion and they are divided into several groups, there is not a hint of your responsibility to them. Indeed their affairs are only up to God, then Allah will tell them what they have done. Q.6: 159.
Government and Islamic scholars are not responsible if Ahmadiyyah divide Islamic religion. It means that all people has the right to interprete religion of Islam. Only Allah has the right to judge His people. We are as human are sin, all people has sin!
Government and Islamic scholars have to obey Human Right in order Allah bless Pakistan anf its people. America is a excellent example to be followed. Allah bless America and its people. Allah bless Christianity. Christianity is Allah’s religion as well Islam. Unfortunately, The true Islamic teaching has been contaminated with Hadith.
Now Islam can not be claimed religion of peace anymore.
Allah will curse and punish all Islamic countries severely untill Muslim can fix and reform Islamic teaching.
