There is so much to see on our planet in just one day.

The latest release from BBC Earth Films, Earth: One Amazing Day, follows the lives of a diverse cast of unforgettable creatures over a 24-hour period from sunrise over the peak of a mountain to sunset in a remote island paradise.

Narrated by Oscar-winning filmmaker and actor Robert Redford and directed by Richard Dale and Peter Webber, ground-breaking filmmaking technology brings you up close and personal with a baby zebra desperate to cross a swollen river, a penguin who heroically undertakes a death-defying daily commute to feed his family, a pod of sperm whales who like to snooze vertically and a sloth on the hunt for love.
