Canadian reporter mocked for tweeting Muslim women buying lingerie

A Canadian reporter caused an uproar on Twitter when he sent out a tweet about two women entering a lingerie shop, implying it was an out of ordinary scene.Michael Kane, a Business News Network‘s reporter, tweeted on Sunday after seeing two “modestly-dressed women with religious headgear come out of Victoria’s Secret” store.His tweet, beginning with a disclaimer that read: “I’m just a reporter”, had people question him how Muslim women shopping for lingerie was worth a social media update from a journalist.While Kane deleted the tweet soon after, the power of screenshot caught up to him. People began mocking him for ‘reporting’ a regular instance with one suggesting to alert the authorities:
