Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association UK’s Putney chapter organised a vigil in Claygate, Mr Raffi Bhatti, National Vice President of AMEA UK and Mr Mahmood Ahmad, Regional Head of AMEA UK London Region welcomed Councillor Rachael Lake the Mayor of Elmbridge Borough Council and Mark Sugden Chairperson of Parish Council of Claygate.
Members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association along with their families including children gathered at the junction of Hare Lane and The Parade in Claygate.
Many local people visited and appreciated them for their effort. Banners of “LOVE FOR ALL HATRED FOR NONE” were raised high by the participants.
Mr Raffi Bhatti, the vice president of AMEA UK said, “The Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association unequivocally condemns, in the strongest possible terms, terrorist attacks in London and Manchester. All acts of terrorism and extremism are vile criminal acts that are completely unjustifiable.”
