The president is the first leader not to host a dinner for nearly two decades after the tradition was started by Bill Clinton and then continued by George W. Bush and Barack Obama.Instead, the Republican chose to release a statement wishing ‘warm greetings’ to those celebrating Eid.In a joint statement with the First Lady, Melania, he said: ‘Muslims in the United States joined those around the world during the holy month of Ramadan to focus on acts of faith and charity.‘Now, as they commemorate Eid with family and friends, they carry on the tradition of helping neighbors and breaking bread with people from all walks of life.’

  1. Appreciation or non appreciation of any religion or any religious act in fact depends on the height or hollowness of inner morals of of any individual be he a rule or ordinary citizen. Previous US Presidents were taken in high esteem by whole Muslim world at least for their this kind gesture. Current occupant of White House declined to be in this high esteem so it is his decision. In fact Mr Trump has a special character. In which moral esteem he is taken by an ordinary world citizen this only is know to masses. Some time if covered with mask and discretely roams around in few countries to know his reputation probably he will leave the WH immediately. But all is questionable with Him.
