Presidential Spokesman İbrahim Kalın urged the European Union to fulfill its obligations within the scope of the migration deal reached between the bloc and Turkey.
Kalın told a news conference that Turkey only received 790 million euro of 3 billion euros pledged by the bloc as part of the deal.
He warned that Turkey’s relations with EU could be put back on track if it fulfills terms of the deal could.
The number of migrants pouring into Europe via Turkey substantially decreased following the deal, but Turkey is worried about the EU’s reluctance to fulfill its commitment to the deal, especially its pledge of visa-free travel for Turkish nationals.
