The Question of Suffering tackled by Dr. Charles Stanley

Epigraph:

And We will try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives, and fruits; but give glad tidings to the patient, who, when a misfortune overtakes them, say, ‘Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return.’

It is these on whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy, and it is these who are rightly guided. (Al Quran 2: 155-157/156-158)

If we substitute Jesus with Muhammad and St. Paul with the Muslim heroes, the Biblical quotes with the Quranic quotes, we will have an Islamic version of the question of suffering. Of course, we will also need to substitute main principles of the Christian theology for the Muslim theology. A model of God’s prophets rather than a son of God allegedly dying for sins of others. No one can be put in jail, for example, for crimes of others and we all know it!

However, what Charles Stanley presents about the suffering and trial in human life is shared by all theists.

Similarly, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu and Sikh version of this video can be easily constructed.

    • 1st flaw:- JC was already dead 600 years when Mohammed was tempted/driven to the Christians. 2nd:- JC is a Jew, Mohammed is Egyptian. 3rd:- JC is 100% pro Jew/anti gentile (Bible: see Matthew Chapter 15, second half). 4th:- Paul, in his ignorance, fell for the sob side of JC’s story, (the way it has always been seen by Christians). 5th:- Christianity is a copy-book setup. 6th:- Koran is also a copy-book setup. 7th:- Knowledge of the contents of both books (+ the jews scriptures), is a necessary requirement. 8th:- Present-day religion is motivated by ignorance.
