A secular blogger in Bangladesh has been hacked to death in north-eastern Bangladesh in the third such deadly attack since the start of the year, police say.

Ananta Bijoy Das was attacked by a masked gang wielding machetes in the city of Sylhet, reports say.

  1. Bangladesh is in the grip of violent criminals. Freedom of speech is an essential requirement for development of human thought and progress.
I hope Muslims will understand that. If you disagree with something, present your argument. Violence and killing is criminal and should be severely punished.

  2. The feel good slogan ” Freedom of speech in Islam ” is very misleading and false. Questioning or doubting is a sin punishable by death in mainstream Islam and ex communication by Jamaat e Ahmadiyya. Everyone has to conform to what the clergy is saying without questioning. Nobody dare to deviate from this prescribed teaching or risk consequences.
Let us see how you stick to your words about this claim.
In the past any post which is critical of views presented in this forum were never published. Do I have to say more about this ” freedom of speech and expression ” mantra.

  3. If Christao who believes Jesus ‘son of God’ while Islam rejects this or Hindus worship Idols while Islam raises qustion on Idol worship, follow the principle “Questioning or doubting is a sin punishable by death ” mainstream Islam should not raise question. Kuffar e Mecca who did barberous crime against Sahabas should not be blamed once we accept ” Questionig or doubting…..’ because Sahabas were against their faith. One cannot make two standards.

  4. Human thought can only progress by discussion and exchange of ideas — freely. Quran provides for that by saying that “there is no coercion in religion”. Some Muslim leaders distort the meaning of this unqualified phrase in the Quran. They think once you are in the religion then they have the right to punish and enforce. For all those who think like that, Allah has said one more thing in the Quran, “You are not a guardian over them” (Lasta Alai him be Musaiter).

  5. Murder in the name of Allah has become a serious matter as it is not only maligning the beauty of Islam but also exhausting the Muslim world. We should find out the reasons.Besides political reasons, there are two major factors, first these suslims are nourished by those Mullahs who make all other muslims kafir & motivate muslims to kill ‘ kafir like muslims.’ First they started from ahmadies, now shias are also their prey. Secondly, the coming of Mehdi & Isa who will serve Islam by sword & killing of all kafirs. Unless the muslim intellectuals, Ulemah and muslims donot condemn such mullahs and use of sworfd ,increasing trend of voilence cannot be controlled.
