LAHORE: Qila Gujjar Singh police claimed to have solved an “in house” theft case within 24 hours of registration of the complaint on Sunday.

According to police, Constable Faryad parked his motorcycle outside the office of the investigation wing deputy inspector general (DIG), where he was posted.

After completing his work, Faryad went to the parking lot and found his motorcycle missing. He attempted to trace the two-wheeler but in vain.

Left with no other option, he somehow got the footage of the CCTV camera installed near the parking area.

To constable’s utter shock, the footage showed his officer, ASI Sikandar, taking away the motorcycle.

On the basis of the footage, Faryad on Satuday lodged a complaint against the ASI who was arrested the following morning (on Sunday).

However, the constable has yet to get his motorcycle back as the ASI claimed he had abandoned the two-wheeler somewhere after it ran out of fuel.
