Mr Prime Minister, do you support religious bigotry?

ET: Dear Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am sure you are busy; so let me cut to the chase.

You know well that Pakistan’s Ahmadi community has long faced the wrath of extremist religious clerics. Despite succeeding in hijacking Jinnah’s vision, and pressurising the state into incorporating anti-Ahmadi bigotry into the Constitution and law, these clerics have continued to demonise, spread hate and incite violence against the Ahmadis. The group currently at the forefront of this witch-hunt is Pakistan’s Khatam-e-Nabuwat organisation. Whereas this organisation claims to uphold the honour of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), it does everything under the sky against his teachings of peace, tolerance and respectful difference of opinion.

Ahmadis are already denied their freedom of speech, worship, assembly, and even identity in Pakistan. The Khatam-e-Nabuwat group, however, is not pleased with just this. It holds conferences on a regular basis, calling on governments and the public to banish and boycott Ahmadis even further. Through these forums, extremist Mullahs also call for increased violence against the Ahmadis, some even issuing death edicts against them.

  1. It is a good letter, a reminder to the PM about his duty towards Ahmadis. Ahmadis are Pakistanis. The Khatam e Nabuwwat (KN) has no case against Ahmadis. It is a terrorist organization working against peace and Pakistan.
I want to inform the PM about the great mistake (crime) of the KN. They are making a fool of all the Muslims of the world. Reason is given below, which proves that Ahmadis are Muslims as per the announcement of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. PlEASE READ AN IMPORTANT HADITH:
The Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. said, “Whosoever recites Kalimah and prays facing our Qiblah (Ka’abah) and eats from our food (Dhabeeha), he is a Muslim. There is a guarantee of Allah and His messenger (Muhammad) for the protection of such a person. O, Muslims, never act against that guarantee.”
According to above, the enemies of Ahmadis have no case at all to call them Kafir.
If the KN say that it is due to the Ahmadis not believing in Khatam e Nabuwwat principle, they will be wrong because the prophet did not mention (include) that condition for being a Muslim.
It is sheer cleverness of the KM people. It seems KM have some agenda against Pakistan (and against Muhammad Ali Jinnah whom they had opposed and abused). PM should take an oath of allegiance from KM Mullas to respect Pakistan and PAKISTANI People and Jinnah sahib.
Such a letter should be sent to Al-Azhar University and other important Islamic teaching institutes, giving mentioned reason and may be asked for their opinion about who is really a Muslim. It is necessary to take opinion of learned men about the activity of the Khatam e Nabuwwat (KN) junta.
THE LETTER with the quoted Hadith should be circulated within the country (Pakistan) to enlighten the Muslim masses of Pakistan.

  2. The Promised Messiah (peace be on him) says in his poetry book Durri-samee (A very Precious Diamond):
Darro yaro Kay so been a Khuda Hayh
    Ager sochu yaheen Darul-juzaa Hayh

Allah is seeing all,be fearful friends
Here in this world ,it is paid back,if one Ponder.

They pretend to be deaf, dumb and blind and will not understand.

  3. We should keep on trying. The wrong type maulvis have high jacked the peaceful religion. They have got the law made, such that Ahmadis cannot give any reply, cannot defend themselves.
Why is that? It is because the enemies of Ahmadis do not have any truth, any good argument. That is why they have blocked the speech of the Ahmadis by self made law. The Government should know all that and should take some step to save the country.
There is no justice from the courts for Ahmadis because of the bad laws (enforced). The hands of the courts are tied up.
The public is not aware of the fraud that is being played upon them in the name of religion. Right information needs to be passed somehow to poor Pakistani Muslims. The PM should not remain ignorant of the realities and about religion. He should anyhow, look at it from the national side only and do something to relieve countrymen from the punishment under blasphemy laws.
His job is to make good laws and implement them.

  4. Mr Sarwar, the Government already knows all that, perhaps more that what you can imagine. The fact is that the interest in getting votes, in their mind, is far more important than any other principles. I cannot tell you on this platform what such people can do to buy votes. There is no limit.
