Tehran Times:

The Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance will hold an international short film festival on the Prophet of Islam with the motto of “Muhammad, the Messenger of Peace”. All filmmakers from across the world can submit their 114-second films to the secretariat of the festival. The first place winner will be awarded with a $20,000 cash prize. The festival will present the second place winner $10,000 and the third prize is $5,000. Details will be announced on the ministry’s website at http://www.qia.ir in the near future. The festival is held in response to French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo’s recent action to publish another vile cartoon insulting the Prophet Muhammad.

  1. I highly appreciate this very positive and timely move by Iran. It is the real Islamic way to respond to Charlie Hebdo ideology.
