Palestine Liberation Organization Secretary, Amin Maqboul revealed connections between the US administration with some Arab leaders, in an attempt to pressure Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas halt heading to the ICC and signing international treaties.
Maqboul told Shams News on Tuesday that the US will not succeed to achieve such goals, reiterating that the Arab countries refuse to exert any pressure on the Palestinian Authorities.
Maqboul said that all the Arab countries backed the Palestinian will, negating that any Arab countries would pressure Abbas to retreat from heading to the ICC.
Maqboul assured that the PA studies each step to be taken gradually, concluded by looking into the Oslo records and the agreements signed with Israel, whether economic or security matters, stressing the importance of sanctioning Israel as a government that occupied Palestine.
PA last Wednesday signed about 20 international treaties, including applying to the ICC, after Palestinian bid of ending the occupation on the 1967 borders by 2017, failed to pass.
In addition, Washington threatened to cut off US aid to Palestine if PA takes any sanctions against Israeli crimes.
