Anyone actually living in London could probably have told you this a while ago, but now it’s official – London is the most expensive city in the world.
The ranking comes from estate agent Savills, who have been releasing an annual report since 2008 charting the cost of living in 12 “world cities”.
This ranking is worked out using the costs of renting living and office space per employee per year. The purpose of the report is to give global companies an idea of the costs involved when setting up offices in big global cities – but obviously affects normal people living there too.
