Cambridgenews:Hate crimes against Muslims have soared in Cambridgeshire, new data reveals.
: The brutal murder of Drummer Lee Rigby in a London street triggered an increase in Islamophobic crime in the county.
Figures from the police revealed the number of race and faith based hate crimes since 2011.
Over nine three-month periods, hate crimes against Muslims fluctuated from one to a maximum of three.
And in the six months before the killing of the Army private on May 22 last year, there were just two.
But from April to June, 2013 at the time of the slaying of Private Rigby – the number of anti-Islam attacks increased to 12 out of a total of 14 which were based on faith.
Cambridge MP Julian Huppert said: “These are disturbing figures relating to despicable crimes often driven by no other motive than the fact that the victim has different religious beliefs or a different colour skin.
“It’s very sad that some people can’t see beyond those differences to treat everybody equally and find out the individual qualities that everybody has.
“I hope that eventually we will be able to eradicate these horrendous crimes and celebrate our differences.”

Now, if we can only get Muslim countries to subscribe to that concerning their treatment of religious minorities, Muslim and non-Muslim. It’s an undeniable truth that the Ummah’s record of intolerance is far, far worse than the rest of the world’s. And that truth can make it more difficult for Muslims outside the Ummah, unfortunately. Additionally, Muslim actions such as the murder of the Drummer and the Boston Marathon bombing (both done supposedly in the name of Islam)creates additional animosity. Imagine Christians doing that in the Ummah? The word “Pogram” comes to mind…
