AMMAN — Some 100 Muslim scholars will convene in Amman on Monday at the 16th conference of the Royal Aal al Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought under the theme “Viable and Sustainable Modern Islamic State”.
Several issues will be discussed at the three-day forum, including people’s rights in Islamic thought, Western thought and the project of a modern, sustainable and viable Islamic state, Minwer Mheid, director of the institute, said in a statement e-mailed to The Jordan Times.
