DUBAI: Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has launched a Ramadan campaign which aims to clothe 1,000,000 deprived children around the world.
The campaign will continue until Sept.19, which falls on UAE’s Humanitarian Work Day, and marks the 9th anniversary of the death of the late President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The new initiative aims to collect donations during the Holy Month of Ramadan to supply clothing for 1,000000 deprived children around the world and support them in the difficult circumstances in which they live.
Separately, the activities of the 17th Dubai International Holy Quran Award were launched on Wednesday featuring lectures for men and women under the theme of “Peace Upon You Prophet Muhammad,” under the auspices of Sheikh Mohammed, according to a report by Nadia Sultan.
