Hyderabad: With Hyderabad’s two most important religious events — Ramzan and Bonalu — coming at the same time after a gap of 33 years, the city’s peace and harmony was the main issue discussed during the Chief Minister’s review meet on Thursday.
“The maintenance of law and order will be of top priority of the government during the forthcoming celebrations. Perfect harmony will be maintained, since both Ramzan and Bonalu will be observed simultaneously,” said the CM
Preparing for the month of Ramzan, the government:
- Sanctioned Rs 2.5 crore towards basic facilities in all mosques of AP.
- Released Rs. 50 crore towards civic developments in the old city.
- Additional half-kilo sugar to be distributed through fair price shops.
- Rules will be relaxed for night bazaars during Ramzan.
- Additional 60 vehicles are being organised to clear debris.
- 300 more water tankers for continuous water supply.
- One water tanker will be present at Macca Masjid on daily basis.
- Uninterrupted power supply.
A joint control room of GHMC and the Police department will be set up soon for better maintenance of law and order.

I hope the Pakistani government learns from this!!
Well done India. India zinda baad. Pakistan as Najam has said and all the other Muslim countries should learn the lesson from this – a great secular state. So much freedom and cooperation. No discrimination of Shia Sunni or Ahmais.
