AMMAN — HRH Prince Hassan, president of the Arab Thought Forum, on Friday called for the release of Syriac Orthodox Archbishop Yohanna Ibrahim and Greek Orthodox Archbishop Paul Yazigi.

In a statement, Prince Hassan said, “I call for the release and safe passage of the bishops, so that they may continue their humanitarian work that is so desperately needed at this time and for an end to violence be it wrought in the name of secularism, religion or some ideology or other”.

“The unfolding tragedy in Syria threatens not only lives and livelihoods, but our very humanity,” Prince Hassan said.
