A horrific attack has claimed the life of a prominent figure from a minority community. Kamran Safdar, a respected member of the local Ahmadiyya community, was shot dead in Punjab province. The deadly attack took place in the town of Mandi Bahauddin.
Police and local authorities reported that unknown perpetrators carried out what appeared to be a well-planned and coordinated murder.
Safdar was ambushed right outside his place of worship, sparking panic and deep grief among the faithful. This brutal murder further exacerbates concerns about anti-Ahmadi hate speech and the serious security risks faced by religious minorities across the country.
Community leaders highlighted the ongoing campaign of hostility, noting that anti-Ahmadiyya graffiti had recently defaced public gates and walls, often labeling Ahmadis as infidels.

Such deeply offensive slurs are frequently used by orthodox groups to incite violence against Ahmadis. Although police have registered cases involving unidentified gunmen, the suspects often evade arrest in these sectarian attacks.
Human rights activists continue to demand stronger protection measures for the vulnerable Ahmadiyya community, which faces systematic harassment and violence in its daily lives across the country.
