BeritaObserver.Com, Karanganyar—  Special Staff to the Minister of Religion Gugun Gumilar regretted the forced disbandment of the Ahmadiyah Youth Camp activity at Watu Gambir Park, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, Saturday (6/6/2026).

According to him, the incident was very unfortunate because the activity, which was attended by hundreds of participants, including children and teenagers, had to end after receiving pressure from a group of people.

“I am concerned and regret the forced disbandment of the Ahmadiyah Youth Camp activities at Watu Gambir Park, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java,” said Gugun, Sunday (7/6/2026).

“This cannot be allowed to continue. Let’s prioritize interfaith dialogue,” said Gugun.

Since the night of the incident, Gugun stated that he has been coordinating with all relevant parties. As Special Staff to the Minister of Religious Affairs, he has offered a public apology to the Indonesian Ahmadiyya community.

“I, the Special Staff to the Minister of Religious Affairs, sincerely apologize to the Ahmadiyya community in Indonesia. I am deeply ashamed that I have not been able to work effectively and properly in addressing intolerance around us,” he said.

Gugun emphasized that the state must be present to protect every citizen in carrying out religious worship and activities. He asked for public prayers and committed to immediately resolving the case.

“Please pray. We will solve this case,” he concluded. (Ainur)
