Theists of various variety are often at daggers drawn with each other. Muslim versus Christian, Genocide in Gaza, sectarian wars among the Muslims. We, the theists, present an endless comedy for the agnostics and atheists and sometimes it evolves into tragedy like present-day wars in the Middle East.
Once in a while atheist philosophers return the favor.
Robert Sapolsky is a determinist and Daniel Dennett is a compatibilist and both are atheist. As a very large majority of the contemporary academic philosophers are atheists, a majority of them fall into the above mentioned two groups. 59% are compatibilists and only 12% are determinists
Theists believe in free will and in contemporary philosophical lingo libertarian free will. Without it, there is no sin or piety and there is no accountability. Among academic philosophers, this group is a small minority only 13-14%.
