…Commissions clinic in Kano

KANO — The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at in Nigeria, has on Saturday, sued for peace in Gaza and the troubled part of Nigeria.

The group called for a cease-fire in Gaza and an end to banditry and other insecurity in Nigeria.

The Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at in Nigeria, Azeez Alatoye made the call while commissioning the Ahmadiyya Muslim clinic situated along Kano – Zaria built to provide health care service to humanity.

Alatoye said Islam religion is a religion of peace and doesn’t condone violence.

According to him, “We call for a cease-fire in Gaza where hospitals are being bombed. We condemn violence in whatever form. We also call for an end to banditry and kidnapping in the country.

“Islam is a religion of peace and has nothing to do with violence. Ahmadiyya doesn’t believe in violence. And we preach to our Muslim brothers to drop any form of crime and embrace Islam the way it should be because is a religion of peace. And that is exactly what Ahmadiyya is preaching.

“Ahmadiyya is concerned with Humanity. Islam religion is about humanity to the people. It is about the peace of the people and has nothing to do with problems for the people. We are always supposed to look for challenges and solve those challenges or problems. And this clinic is a demonstration of that. We have also carried out projects in the areas such as security, and education to better the lives of the people.

“Let me seize this opportunity to appreciate the Emir and the palace. I say the palace because his predecessor had also commissioned the Ahmadiyya hospital in the 60s and today the Emir is also doing the same thing,” the Amir, Alatoye said.

On his part, the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero commended the group for the intervention which he said will go a long way to boost the healthcare of people around the area.

The monarch however called on the people to make good use of the facility.

“We appreciate the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at for their tremendous efforts and contribution to the health sector. We call on the Kano state government to continue to support the Ahmadiyya group in their effort towards assisting the health sector.

“We also call on the beneficiary community to make good use of the facility and ensure that they protect and properly manage the facility,”the Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero however stated.
