Islam is not what you hear in the Legacy Media or even the mosques: The compassionate, the pluralistic and the rational side of Islam

Epigraph:

Every human life is precious and sacred and saving one is like saving the whole of humanity. (Al Quran 5:32)

Written and collected by by Zia H Shah MD, Chief Editor of the Muslim Times:

An innocent Israeli child and a Palestinian baby are all beautiful and neither can be a collateral damage to a negotiation for the present-day conflict.

My heart is terribly grieved by the suffering mothers and fathers on either side. The coverage is not fair and balanced most of the time in the Western media or for that matter in the Muslim world also, so, I have decided to write about compassionate and pluralistic side of Islam, by simply collecting posts on the theme below.

While on the subject, I will also share my work on religion and science that I have been doing for the last three decades to highlight the rationality in Islam, towards the end of this collection.
