Spokesman for the Ahmadiyya Congregation ( JAI ) Yendra Budiana said PMI is an organization engaged in social and humanitarian fields.

“PMI’s work in the community is extraordinary. PMI is at the forefront of providing assistance to disaster victims, and disseminating health values,” Yendra said to Suara Soreang on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Yendra continued, PMI also has blood donor units in every city and community unit.

“Ahmadiyah has been collaborating with PMI for a long time, especially in blood donation. We donate almost hundreds of points and thousands of blood every quarter to the community with PMI,” he said.

According to Yendra, in society there are still many people who do not know about the benefits of blood donation. Whereas from a medical point of view, people who donate blood get benefits for their health.

“So blood donation is not only profitable for people who are in need of blood. But for donors as well,” he said.

Yendra hopes that with the commemoration of PMI Day, people will be more aware of the importance of health, especially in terms of blood donation, so that the number of requests for blood at PMI can be fulfilled.

“Through the blood donor community owned by the Ahmadiyah, we will continue to intensify the importance of blood donation in the community,” he concluded.
