– A lecturer at the University of Indonesia or UI, Ade Armando said that Gus Yaqut gave open support to the Shia and the Ahmadiyya.

According to Ade Armando , Gus Yaqut as the minister of religion is a pluralist minded person like Gus Dur . According to Ade Armando, since serving as minister of religion, he has stated that he is the minister of all religions.

“Gus Yaqut may be hated, but he’s still a Muslim,” said Ade Armando in a video uploaded to the Cokro TV youtube channel, on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, with the title ‘Why Gus Yaqut Can’t Be Beaten’.

“Gus Yaqut is hated because he is known as a pluralist,” said Ade Armando.

“His religious perspective is similar to Gus Dur ‘s, for him religion should not divide people,” said Ade Armando. “That’s why from the start he said that he was the minister of all religions, not just Islam,” said Ade Armando.

According to Ade Armando’s statement, Gus Yaqut openly supports the Shia and the Ahmadiyya.

Even Gus Yaqut is said to have asked for the opening of the Ministry of Religion ‘s activities not only to read the holy verses of the Qur’an, but all religions.

“He openly supports the Shia and the Ahmadiyya,” Ade Armando explained. “He wished the Baha’i community a happy holiday,” said Ade Armando. “He asked that all activities of the Ministry of Religion not only begin with the recitation of the holy Qur’an but all religions,” said Ade Armando.
