Indonesia: Ahmadiyya Mosque Sealed, Setara Institute Calls Sintang Government Discriminatory

JAKARTA, iNews.id – Setara Institute called the move by the District Government (Pemkab) Sintang, West Kalimantan (Kalbar) to seal the Ahmadiyya Mosque in Balai Harapan Village, Tempunak, Saturday (08/14/2021) as a form of discrimination. Moreover, the sealing was preserved from the rejection of some people who asked the government to seal the house of worship.

Director of Research Setara Institute, Halili Hasan, said, the Sintang Provincial Government has instituted discriminatory practices through a joint decree (SKB) of the regent of Sintang, kajari and the head of the ministry office. In fact, the government must actually maintain religious harmony and guarantee the right of citizens to worship.
