The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at and the Belize Blood Transfusion Services will be hosting a blood drive tomorrow.  The drive is to raise awareness that lives can be saved, and health can be improved with the donation.  It will be held at 529 Buttonwood Bay Boulevard in Belize City from 8am to 4pm. Muhammad Saleh, Imam, of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community shared with Love News the significance of the blood drive.

Muhammad Saleh, Imam, Ahmadiyya Belize:

“Why we do this is because the Holy Quran or religion teaches that we have two parts for our religion. The first part is our rights to go towards God, that is we pray we fast but the second part is we also have our right towards humanity to help the people. So we notice that there is a lack of blood, different types of blood in the blood banks so we thought if in any way we can be of service we try to help people wherever we are around the world and we want to not just complain about the issues of the country we  want to show by example that we want to help the people here in any way that we can.

I request that all Belizeans who are capable and are healthy that can give blood please come and give it can save lives.”

Refreshments will be provided for all donors and volunteers.
