The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Bermuda strongly condemned the despicable attack against peaceful worshippers in New Zealand, and expressed their thanks to everyone in Bermuda who spoke out “against this atrocity and showed their support to the local Muslim Community.”

Their comments follow after the horrific terrorist attack in New Zealand in which at least 50 people were killed and 50 were wounded in terror attack targeting two mosques in the New Zealand city of Christchurch.
A local spokesperson said, “The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Bermuda strongly condemns this despicable act of violence against peaceful worshippers. Extremism and terrorism have no place in any society and people of all faiths and philosophical traditions should enjoy full freedom to express their beliefs and live in peace without fear of violence and death.
“We are grateful to the government officials, the media and community groups in Bermuda who have spoken out against this atrocity and showed their support to the local Muslim Community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families and we pray for the recovery of the injured.”
