MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (AP) — Nigerian officials say that seven people have been killed in a suicide attack on a mosque in Konduga town in the country’s north.
Bello Dambatta, Head of Rescue Operations of Borno State Emergency Management Agency, said Monday that seven others were injured. He said the dead and injured have been evacuated to medical facilities in Maiduguri, about 30 kilometers (18 miles) away.
Dambatta said the suicide bomber pretended to join early morning prayers on Monday before detonating his explosives.
