Macy’s is the latest U.S. brand to tap into the growing Islamic clothing market. (Macy’s)

Macy’s is launching a “modest” fashion line this month geared toward Muslim women that will feature maxi dresses, ankle-length cardigans and hand-dyed hijabs.

The collection will be available on Macy’s website beginning Feb. 15 at a time when mall traffic has plummeted and the beleaguered retail chain has been aggressively closing stores.

Macy’s is the latest U.S. brand to tap into the growing Islamic clothing market, after Nike last year debuted a hijab designed for female Muslim athletes, American Eagle began selling denim hijabs, and DKNY launched its Ramadan collection of long, flowing dresses in 2014.
