Ramadan North and South

Once a year, for a whole month, Muslims around the world observe the holy month of Ramadan. Family, community work, prayer, reflection and, most importantly, fasting from sunrise to sunset, are the main elements of the month.

For me, Islam is the highest thing in the world. It’s the pinnacle, the top. Some people don’t understand, you know. There’s a lot of misconceptions about Islam, but when you see the real beauty of it and the truth of it, then you just want it to be everywhere.

However, observing Ramadan is not always straightforward in countries where Muslims are in the clear minority.
