MEMBERS of a Keighley women’s group took a message of peace and harmony to the Norwood House Nursing Home.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association visited the home, in Greenthwaite Close, during its Christmas festivities.
Baldev Chagger, the home’s owner, said: “They also brought gifts for the residents and their message of ‘Love for all, hatred for none’ at these turbulent times in the world.
“Our residents were very pleased to see them and exchange season’s greetings with them.”
Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association visit the home at several times every year.
Mr Chagger said: “They bring younger members of their community to interact with the residents – which is a very positive experience for the residents and the younger generation.”
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is an international movement within Islam, founded in 1889 and spanning over 206 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions. Its current headquarters are in the United Kingdom.
