Peace & Justice Interfaith Symposium
Saturday, July 16th at 7 PM
Holy Angels Catholic Church South Meriden
“Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me!”
All of us are concerned about the violence in our country targeting different groups of innocent people; the most recent being the murders in Orlando, Florida. Peace begins with each of us working to better understand and build bridges with people we don’t know that well.
Another local attempt at working toward that goal will be hosted this time at Holy Angels Parish Center Saturday, July 16th at 7:00pm.
The leaders of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community whose house of worship is located close to us on Main St. are contacting area clergy and inviting them and any of their parishioners who are interested in coming together for a sharing and conversation to help all of us better understand and respect each other.
Refreshments will be served. I encourage everyone who is free that evening to join us. You are welcome to bring and share a dessert.
– Pastor Reverend Lawrence Symolon
