The Bahá’í Community of Barrie is hosting the World Religion Day 2016 on Sunday January 17 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. in the City Hall Rotunda.
This year’s theme centers around how local faith communities can help their fellow congregants alleviate fear and build hope, love and unity among all the peoples of the world.
Guests from eight different denominations will present hopeful messages to the assembled. Speakers from various faiths including, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, First Nations, Christians, as well as by the Bahá’í Faith will speak on the themes of unity and acceptance of all people.
Refreshments will be served. There is no cost for the event, but donations for the Barrie Food Bank will be accepted.
