SYNOPSIS

We were graciously invited to a “Meditation for World Peace” service on Thanksgiving day by Marcella Trowbridge, Artisitic Director, ARTFARM. The incident is quite phenomenal as they were in sincere search of real representation from Islam. By the grace of God, they were guided to the right face of Islam; Ahmadiyya via the recent explosive manifestation of Allah’s chosen Jamma’at in countless press and media outlets after shootings at our Mosque.

They contaced the National Center who forwarded them locally to our CT Chapter President.

This dialogue was among the drops in the expanding ocean of relationships opening up to us locally and beyond.

The venue was relevantly a retreat/meeting room in Middletown’s Community Health Center on Main Street. The ARTFARM team specially requested us to offer a prayer in addition to delivering an introductory talk. A delegation of three Ahmadi Muslims and Da’een ilAllah invested an hour of their Thanksgiving Day to engage in the way of Allah Ta’alaa, deliver the true teachings of the Holy Prophet SAW and his Messiah AS, and establish sincere connections in the greater multicultural community. These callers unto Allah Ta’alaa included Sadr Sahib CT, Dr. Muhammed Qureshi, a Khadim and CT Faith Outreach team member, Zahir Mannan, and his wife a Lajna CT Women’s Auxiliary Voluntary Service and Faith Outreach team member, Syeda Sana Shah, a convert from 2009. Having female representation not only enriched our team, but illustrated and reinforced the true meaning of purdah and status of women in Islam, particularly as capable teammates.

Following introductory remarks by the Artistic Director, Sadr Sahib CT was warmly invited as an honored guest to address the congregation on the true teachings of Islam. He began with the recitation of the perfect prayer Surah Al Fatihah, the Mother of the Holy Quran, as well as its translation. He expressed immense thankfulness on behalf of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of CT for unifying in solidarity against the escalating terror, fear and chaos, and proceeded to deliver a capturing introduction to our Jamma’at, who we are, what we do locally and internationally, our peace-progressing and true Khalifa of Islam ABA, as well as the importance of supplication. A fifteen minute period of silent meditation for World Peace ended the unique program. A total of thirty compatriots from diverse backgrounds and faiths came together in hope, worship, and action to help curb the rampant chaos and heart rendering suffering plaguing the world today. We erected strong bridges with a truly unique organization and its membership in our Mosque’s neighboring city. Despite its brief conveyance, our Divine Message of true peace, love, tolerance, and justice, touched the hearts of the organizers and attendees alike. We especially forged promising connections with African Muslims in our capitol city of Hartford, who similarly echoed Surah Al Fatihah’s prayer with the gathering. Before leaving, we briefly introduced Humanity First to the organizers and openly invited everyone to visit our House of Peace Mosque located just around the corner in Meriden.

The organizers were eager to learn more at http://www.alislam.org and will be requesting a free copy of the Holy Quran with short commentary from http://www.muslimsforpeace.org.

Alhamdulillah, more contacts to add to our growing Tabligh List.

Few pictures of our constructive experience:

Masha-Allah, more open-hearted communities are not only recognizing our peace-loving ways, but also standing united with us against hatred.
