Saudi prince’s convoy triggered Hajj stampede: report

Tribune: A convoy of the son of the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz prompted the stampede that killed hundreds of pilgrims in Mina on Thursday, Iran’s Press TV reported.

Citing a report published in a Lebanese daily, Press TV claims the convoy of Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud played a central role in the deadly crush on the third day of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

Report claims Prince Salman was accompanied by a huge entourage, including 200 army and 150 police officers, which prompted officials to change the movement of pilgrims.

It further said the prince and his entourage swiftly abandoned the scene, adding that the Saudi authorities seek to cover up the entire story and impose a media blackout on Salman’s presence in the area.

However, officials in Saudi Arabia have denied the report, calling it “incorrect.”

  1. There is no reason to blame anyone. After all, it is the wish of every muhammadan to die during the hajj so that the gates of paradise will be opened wide for him/her.
Those who died, including two justices of the Nigerian Court of Appeal, are the lucky few.
They are the envy of those who are not so fortunate.

  2. Prince’s convoy was at a different location but the prince’s obedient servants could mistakenly take action at other places. If at all it is connected with the prince movement in any way, it could be a great criminal activity.
namelee has again offered one of his jokes, saying that those killed in stampede should be happy to celebrate their Shahadat (death in stampede in Makkah).

  3. Ghulam Sarwar,
How is that a joke? Isn’t it true that it is the wish of every one of you to die in Mecca during the hajj so that he/she will go to paradise? That is why people perform the pilgrimage multiple times, even if they can barely afford it.
Everything about muhamadanism, even when quoting from its authentic literature, is regarded as hate speech, bias and the latest, islamophobia.
Had I not been an African, my charges would have included racism.

  4. Hajj is a worship which is necessary for only those Muslims who can afford it once in their lifetime.
Dying during hajj does not guarentee Paradise. Muslims do not perform hajj again and again so they can die in Mecca. If this was so they would live in Mecca.
The mantra of Muslims wishing for death so they can go to Paradise is a Western concoction, which is simply not the case. No Muslim wishes to die any more than a Christian wishes to die for going to the Paradise.
Jesus stood for the truth. But followers of paulism such as Namelee probably cannot see the truth.
