590. Commandment – O ye who believe! respond to Allah, and the Messenger when he calls you that he may give you life

[8:25] O ye who believe! respond to Allah, and the Messenger when he calls you that he may give you life, and know that Allah comes in between a man and his heart, and that He it is unto Whom you shall be gathered.

[2:187] And when My servants ask thee about Me, say: ‘I am near. I answer the prayer of the supplicant when he prays to Me. So they should hearken to Me and believe in Me, that they may follow the right way.’

[42:39] And those who hearken to their Lord, and observe Prayer, and whose affairs are decided by mutual consultation, and who spend out of what We have provided for them,

[42:48] Hearken ye to your Lord before there comes a day for which there will be no averting in opposition to the decree of Allah. There will be no refuge for you on that day, nor will there be for you any possibility of denial.

[13:19] For those who respond to their Lord is eternal good; and as for those who respond not to Him, if they had all that is in the earth and the like of it added thereto, they would readily ransom themselves therewith. It is these that shall have an evil reckoning, and their abode is Hell. What a wretched place of rest!
