39th Annual Convention of Ahmadiyya Mulsim Community in Canada is going to be held in International Center, Mississauga from Friday August 28 till Sunday August 30, 2015.
Annual Ahmadiyya Convention commonly known as Jalsa Salana is the largest event of Ahmadiyya yearly calendar.
People from all across Canada travel to Toronto where the Ahmadiyya headquarter is located in Maple, Ontario. http://www.ahmadiyya.ca/contact.php
More than 20,000 people are expected to attend. Due to large attendance the event is held at the International center in Mississauga.
More than 30,000 Ahmadiyya members live in Canada with 20 purpose built mosques in various cities and towns of Canada.
Ahmadiyya Annual Conventions are held all across the world. The first convention was held in 1891 in Qadian India, the place of inception of Ahmadiyyat. The total attendance was 75. In 1907, this number increased to 2000. This Jalsa steadily grew and began attracting large crowds from across the entire sub-continent. In Canada, the first Jalsa was held in 1976 with attendance of 70. The later attendance has been as high as 22,000
