Kuwait donates to construct Islamic Center in Canada

 

The State of Kuwait has donated one million Canadian dollars (approximately USD 807,000) for construction of an Islamic centre in Toronto, the Ambassador to Canada Hussein Al-Sammak announced.

Al-Sammak told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the Kuwaiti diplomatic mission handed over the donated sum to Alfajr Institute of Islamic Sciences in Toronto to build the centre, due to be named “the State of Kuwait Educational Center.”

The centre, aimed at serving the Muslim community in Ontario, will include a religious faculty, a large library and a prayer hall.

Ambassador Al-Sammak affirmed to KUNA that the Kuwaiti aid is in line with the State policy of promoting true Islam, free from distortions and deviated ideas.
