Obasanjo, three S-West Governors set to attend Ahmadiyya 63rd annual conference
The 63rd annual conference, (Jalsa Salana) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Nigeria, began yesterday at the Jamia Ahmadiyya (Ahmadiyya Missionary Training Center ) Ilaro- Owode road, Ilaro, Ogun state.
The three-day event themed:
“Politics, Social Justice and GLobal Peace: The Dilemma of Religion” will be attended by distinguished Nigerians from all walks of life and neighboring countries across West Africa.
According to the Chairman, National Publicity Committee, Qasim Akinreti, four lectures on the theme of the conference will be delivered by eminent Islamic scholars and speakers drawn from the clergy, academia, and the public sector.
The three day event will equally feature special prayers for Nigeria’s 2015 general election, individual aspirations in the New year.
Distinguished Islamic scholars and eminent Nigerians from all political and religious divide across Nigeria and West Africa are expected to grace the event.
Special guests of honour include the former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, representative of African Trade Union Organisation, Accra,Ghana , top official Alhaji Hasan Sunmonu. Governors Raji Fashola; Ibikunle Amosun and Rauf Aregbesola of Lagos, Ogun and Osun states respectively.
