On the evening of 11th October 2014, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hyderabad organised Eid Millan and Peace Symposium at The Marigold (Green Park) Hotel.
The event included about 200 members from various walks of life gathered to restore peace in the society.
The event started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by speeches that shed light on Peace in different religions. All the dignitaries spoke over Oneness, Equality, Love, Brotherhood. They said all religions preach the same and assign Peaceful duties to its followers, one must have the eye and understanding to see similarities rather than the differences.
This remarkable session was diced by people of different religious backgrounds including Swamy Sumitree Venugopal charee (Hindu Community), Swamy Bhagwan Das (Bhuddist Community), Swamy Jaipal singh Neyal (Hindu Community), Mr. Prasan Chand Bhandari (President Mahavir Trust), Nanak Singh Nishtar (Sikh Community), Rev. Vincent (Archbishop A.P & T.S), Father David Zephaniah(father of Wesley church) and Member’s of the Legistative assembly included Mr. RajenderNaat Reddy (Dhone Kurnool), Mr. Sanjeev Rao (Viqarabad), Mr. T.H. Ramchandar Reddy (Khairtabad), Mr. C.Venkat Ram Reddy (Alampur Kurnool), Mr. Prasad (Chairman CVR Group) and Mr. Nara Ravikumar Padmashree.
Moulana Musleh Uddin Saadi (Missionary Incharge Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hyderabad Chapter) beautifully explained:
The main reason behind the unrest in the world, is Lack of Faith in God and the only way we can bring it back is by following the Peaceful teachings of the Holy scriptures.”
Father David Zephaniah drew the gatherings attention towards “somum bonum (see good)” in one another.
Mr. Prasan Chand Bhandari said its essential to love the creator and its creation.
The presidential address delivered by Mohammed Sohail Ahmed, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hyderabad, gave a gist on Peace through all religious scriptures. He said:
The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) was here to proclaim the oneness of God and He (p.b.u.h) always took his first step forward in uniting the religions of his time’.
Dignitaries congratulated Ahmadiyya Muslim community for organizing this auspious event and for taking a step forward in maintaining peace in the society.
A documentary highlighting the contribution of Ahmadiyya community to establish peace in the world was also shown.
The event lasts for two and half hours, concluding with an opportunity to mingle with one another during dinner.
It aims to promote better understanding between faith and community groups in order to develop a more harmonious society.
