Eidul Adha celebrated by Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Tuvalu
Tuvaluan Ahmadis have celebrated Eidul Adha on 5thOctober, 2014. The celebration was begun with Eid prayer at 08.00 am at Tuvalu Mosque. The Imam of Tuvalu Mosque,Mr. Muhammad Idrees led the Eid prayer and delivered Eid Sermon. He has explained about the great sacrifice of Hadhrat Abraham and Hadhrat Ishmael. He encouraged all ahmadis to dedicate their lives and all possible means to serve Allah and being able to be the true servant of Allah the Almighty as Hadhrat Abraham and Hadhrat Ishmael have given the great exemplar which was commemorated by all Muslims in the whole world every year. We must always be ready to sacrifice our wealth, times, capabilities, even our lives for the sake of Allah, he exhorted. That is the essence of the celebration today that it must be fully understood by all Muslims. There is no such celebration in Islam which is without deep meanings and significances.
It was quite different with the celebration of Eidul Adha from various countries in the world which Muslims usually slaughter animals on the Eid celebration. Ahmadi Muslims celebrated Eidul Adha without slaughtering any animal as according to the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Tuvaluan Ahmadis were not able to perform that ritual because of the unavailable animals which were allowed to be slaughtered during the Eidul Adha celebration in Tuvalu. This fact has to be accepted by all Ahmadis in Tuvalu. There is only one possibility to have such animals for Eidul Adha celebration which can be imported from Fiji Islands, the nearby Island with Tuvalu.
1st Meeting of Majlis Amla Khuddam by Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Tuvalu
Alhamdulillah by the grace of Allah, Tuvaluan Ahmadis were able to have a simple celebration after Eid prayer by having meals together. The program was continued with holding the 1st meeting of Majlis Amla of Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Tuvalu. The Majlis Amla of MKA Tuvalu has just been approved by Huzoor (aba) which was the 1st Majlis Amla of MKA Tuvalu ever been approved since the establishment of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Tuvalu. The meeting was led by Sadr Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Tuvalu, Rikateti Rasheed Ahmad sahib.
